Brandi Yanping Chen has more than twenty years of operational management experience across different industries including credit lending in Finance, International Tourism, Education, and Medical Services. She started her career in operational risk management for HSBC, one of the top ten banks in the world and managed $40M in risk saving during the 2008 Financial Crisis. From 2015, she started her consultation business, and during the pandemic years, she came back to corporate operation management in the medical service industry.
Prior to the work in Operations, Brandi had a Master’s Degree in Environmental Science with a concentration on cutting edge molecular biology techniques in environmental monitoring. Environment or ecosystem is a natural giant operation system, possibly of the most complication and complexity. Business operation is a man-made series of processes, designed to produce certain products or services. The firms that Brandi worked with had an annual revenue from a half million to 5 billion, a workforce from ten to ten thousands. Companies in different industry, of different size have their specific operation problems and business challenges. Her expertise is in Simulation, Forecasting, Risk Management and Strategic Planning no matter of the Operation scale. Brandi shares her knowledge with her students, and devotes her practical insights to her MBA course teaching.
