This fall, we’re excited to offer several opportunities for our university community to connect and grow through our Affinity Group meetings hosted by the EIDA (Equity, Inclusion, Diversity and Access) Committee. These gatherings are designed to foster a sense of shared experience and open dialogue for individuals who resonate with different identity groups. We will be hosting three distinct affinity groups: one for BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color), one for LGBTQ+ members, and one for neurodivergent individuals.

Affinity groups provide a safe, supportive space where participants can engage in open conversation, share personal experiences, and discuss thoughts, ideas, and challenges. These meetings are more than just a place to talk; they are a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections, cultivate a sense of belonging, and strengthen our university community.

Whether you’re looking to find solidarity with others who share similar experiences or to broaden your understanding by listening to different perspectives, these affinity groups offer a welcoming environment for all. We encourage everyone who identifies with these groups or is interested in supporting these communities to join us and take part in these enriching discussions.
