John Elfers is a licensed Marriage Family Therapist and a credentialed school administrator in California. He holds a doctorate in psychology from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology. For 24 years he has worked for county offices of education conducting professional development in the areas of mental health, adolescent reproductive health, gender issues, drug treatment, and community building. He offers courses on psychedelic assisted therapy and transformative education. He has chaired over 50 dissertations and enjoys guiding students through the research process. Dr. Elfers is currently a core faculty at Sofia University and Director of the Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning.
