Dr. Schlitz, Ph.D., MBA, MA is a social scientist, award-winning author, and public speaker, and teacher. She has conducted clinical, laboratory and field-based research into consciousness, human transformation, psi phenomena, and healing. Her books include Living Deeply: The Art and Science of Transformation in Everyday Life (with C. Vieten and T. Amorok); Consciousness and Healing: Integral Approaches to Mind Body Medicine (w. T. Amorok and M Macozi); and Death Makes Life Possible (and companion film by same title). Having taught at Stanford, Harvard, and Trinity University, she is currently Professor of Transpersonal Psychology at Sofia University and CEO/President Emeritus and Senior Fellow at the Institute of Noetic Sciences. Schlitz has published hundreds of articles in scholarly journals and popular publications, and has lectured extensively in diverse venues, including the United Nations, Smithsonian Institution, Commonwealth Club, and community groups across the world. Her research and course work includes Qualitative Methods, Integral Research Skills, Comparative Epistemologies on Death and the Afterlife, Consciousness and Healing, and Grateful Aging. She is currently conducting research with the psychomantium and Virtual Reality. Graduate students are welcome to collaborate.

My work focuses on the intersection of consciousness, healing and transformation. I have conducted research in laboratories, clinical setting, and in field-based studies making use of qualitative and quantitative methods. I bring my diverse research experience to my courses and interactions with students.
