I love both teaching and writing. My dissertation, A Journey through Infertility: A Mythological Perspective, was a phenomenological study on women and infertility, with the Demeter and Persephone myth as a foundation. In 2000, I published Fierce Longing: Women and Infertility, an outgrowth of my dissertation. My next book Where My Soul Lives: Being a Christian Outside the Lines (St. Johann Press, 2012) focuses on men and women who see themselves as non-traditional Christians. All My Money Says Is Bye-Bye (2013, an e-reader) is a playful murder mystery.
I have led workshops on a variety of subjects and have worked extensively with grief counseling agencies, with both children and adults. Being in nature is a significant part of my spiritual practice, along with centering prayer, reading, writing, yoga, long walks, and being with friends. I live in northern Indiana, with my husband, Dwight.
