Dr. DiMatteo is an accomplished and multi-talented professional currently serving as the MBA/MBAC/BSBA Program Chair, Core Faculty, Director of the Virtual Writing Lab, AI Lead, and Strategic Plan Refresh Project Manager at Sofia University. Her career spans over 30 years, with extensive corporate leadership experience in industries such as banking, mortgage insurance, technology companies, and commercial real estate. At one time, owning her own business at the age of 19. She also has a proven track record of coaching C-level executives and Boards, ensuring organizational success and growth.
She attended the Japanese Management Hellcamp at the at of 18 and adopted her life philosophy of leaving things better than she found them through this experience. A lifelong learner, Dr. Simone holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in organizational leadership, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Managing Organizational Systems. Her research focuses on effectively leading and motivating diverse generational teams. Her expertise is in change management, conflict resolution, managing large projects, operational excellence, and building successful multicultural teams.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Dr. Simone is passionate about giving back to her community through volunteering. She enjoys teaching young people about business, assisting at food banks, building bikes for kids, and building houses for those in need. In her free time, she finds joy in reading, gardening, and baking. She also enjoys spending quality time with her family, sons, grandsons, and beloved dogs.
